Climate-Resilient Roads
Growing demands for infrastructure resilience to climate change and extreme weather events
Technical Road Days is one of the oldest conferences in Poland devoted to road engineering issues. The first conference was held in 1957 in Krakow under the name "Krakow Road Engineers' Days." Since 1976, the conference has been known as Technical Road Days.
This year's 65th anniversary edition will take place in Łódź on November 17-18, 2025.
A comprehensive look at the development, maintenance, and modernization of road infrastructure in the context of climate, technological, social, and administrative challenges.
Growing demands for infrastructure resilience to climate change and extreme weather events
Noise and CO2 emission reduction, decarbonization of road construction and maintenance, renewable energy sources in road engineering
Road maintenance experiences in other countries

Issues: Delays in competitions and procedures – problems resulting from the long and complicated process of issuing administrative decisions, the need to deregulate regulations, late adoption of plans and programs for financing local government roads at the national level. Financing and shortage of funds – Government Fund for Local Government Road Development, Strategic Investment Program, European funds, Rising costs and difficult tenders – dynamic price changes and a lengthy tender and investment process, the need to maintain the appropriate scope and quality of works).
Panel with the participation of the Chairman of the Convention of Provincial Road Authority Directors – Director Zbigniew Tabor from ZDW Katowice, invited Marshals and City Presidents (including Marshal Adam Struzik – Mazovia, Marshal Łukasz Prokorym – Podlasie, Marshal Szymon Ogłaza – Opole Province) and Members of the Polish Parliament who are members of the Infrastructure Committee (including MP Stefan Krajewski).
